            TOWER OF SILENCE                  DAKHMA A dakhma, also known as the Tower of Silence, is a circular, raised structure built by Zoroastrians for excarnation–that is, the exposure of human cadavers to the elements for decay in order to avert contamination of the soil with the corpses. Locally called the doongerwadi, the tower’s raised circular structure has three rows—the outer row is for the men, the central row for the women, and the innermost for children.                       THE STATUE OF UNITY Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel   is called the Iron Man of India. Born in Nadiad district of Gujarat. Sardar was a lawyer by profession. Sardar was counted among the successful lawyers of India. He studied law from Middle Colje from London. When his two sons were just 5 and 3 years old, his wife died due to cancer. He first met Mahatma Gandhi in 1917. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been an important contributor to the consolidation of India. Sardar’s contribution was not only in bringing India together, but his contribution in the freedom struggle was also incredible. Sardar was not only a leader but also a social worker.  He was the first Deputy Prime Minister of the country.  He suffered a heart attack on 15 December 1950 and breathed his last at Birla House in Bombay.
